I'm Shaun, a multi-disciplined freelance photographer, specialising in capturing the action as it happens in two of my major passions; theatre and sport. I am DataCo and ECB Accredited so I photograph professional football (Premier League, EFL and National League) and County cricket matches. I have also captured many theatre productions including at the Edinburgh Fringe. My work has been used in a wide variety of publications including The Times, The Guardian, The Sun, The BBC and The Stage.
Since the age of four, when I picked up my first camera, I've always been intrigued by photography. For me, photography is about creating memories; moments frozen in time. A photograph may not seem important today but, as time passes and memories fade, photographs can transport you back to a particular moment; they can reawaken precious memories of a loved one or favourite place. The photograph becomes more treasured as the years go by. As a photographer, I capture moments in time and thus, create those special memories, not only for the subject but also for me.
Some days you'll find me in a rehearsal room, capturing a production in its infancy, or perhaps I may be lucky enough to capture a technical or dress rehearsal. If I'm not in the theatre, you can probably find me capturing the action at a professional football or cricket match.
Take a look at some of my sample images (below) that I have captured over recent years. I am always on the look out for new opportunities so if you think I might be able to help you please get in contact.
